Is the File Backup free trial fully functional?Yes! The free trial is a great way for you to evaluate our software at no cost. It is identical to the program you would purchase. Why should I send my important files over the internet to your data centers?Our professionally managed facilities offer a higher level of protection for your important files. Keeping your data at a geographically separate location is now an important part of "best practices" data protection in the event of fire, flood, hurricane, theft and a range of other potential threats to your data. What is the most common danger to my files?For most users it is hardware failure (such as a hard disk dying), corruption or accidental deletion. File Backup protects your information from these threats as well. Some companies charge to upload/download files, or they put daily limits. Do you?File Backup does not charge you to upload or download your files -- that is included in the low annual service charge. We do reserve the right to cancel service for a user who abuses our bandwidth policy in order to provide the best possible service to all our customers (and this policy is enough to keep away any potential troublemakers that may try to disrupt the service). I don't want your employees looking through my files. Is this a concern?We can never access your data. From the moment your data leaves your computer your files are AES encrypted, and they remain encrypted until they return to your computer. We do not have the encryption key -- only you do -- so we can not access your data, ever. Do I need a credit card?File Backup will prompt you to input credit card information to fully utilize the trial. However, your credit card will not be charged until after 15 days of use. If you decide to cancel, it is absolutely no problem. Just send an email to support@filebackup.net at any time during the 15-day trial (along with your name and account number) to let us know you wish to cancel. That is it. That is all you need to do.
